love for movies/films !!

Watched two movies yesterday, caught the 9.25pm movie at vivo yesterday with parents -the curse of the golden flower. The theatre was fully packed with people. Plot of the movie and the scenery and the shots taken for the battle scene was awesome the effects etc. In the day, I watched the film nobody knows by Kore-eda Hirokazu. The film is about 4 siblings were living happily with their mother in a small apartment in Tokyo. The children all had different fathers and had never been to school. One day, their mother left behind some money and a note, asking her 12 year old boy to look after the others. This started their odyssey, a journey nobody knows. The children did their best to survive in their own little world, but when they were forced to engage with the real world, they slowly lost their faith about life except the belief that their mother will return home. I was so touched by the film about the way the kids led their lives when their mother left them.

I'm going bowling later.. weE... been missing bowling lately, however, felt that my passion for bowling has ceased a little ever since I first loved this sport. I don't know why either? Maybe it's due to the coach.. not giving sufficient and regular trainings. His way of coaching in this times, will never last long-I think, due to the inconsistency of not giving his students practice.Because, I strongly belief that practice makes perfect and there's a will there's a way. Even though, I practice bowling weekly on my own, there are definitely things whereby I don't know yet and that I ought to learn and bowling styles to hone that makes a bowler shines. Will all these so-called passion die off soon after? Will my love for bowling continues?

Blessed! Christmas!

Blessed Christmas everyone! these were some of the Christmas gifts I received! thanks everyone for those gifts. For the past 3 days, I've been really busy, been going out daily and chilling out with friends, went to watch a night in the museum, it was a comedy yet a little scary at times. It was enjoyable, had gift exchange at Alex's house and he whipped up a Christmas dinner for us all, turkey, pasta, pizza etc. The food were delectable! Oh manz, I loved it! His cooking skills are fantastic, followed by some sharing from cgl and then watched TV together, we also headed to coffee bean and played some lame games like mehh.. mehh.mehh.. how many sheeps are there? open close, open close game, 1st thing, 2nd thing, 3rd thing, what's the 4th thing game and apple have, orange don't have.. etc.. We had a great time playing those enjoyable games. Really enjoyed myself greatly! =D

Just returned from HM6. It was awesome, I bonded with my new cg members. Day 2 sermon what pastor preached was so great, felt that it speaks to me, making me to realize that so as for the soul to prosper, in order to change feelings, one has to change his/her thinking . Because, right thinking will produce right feeling! Therefore, now I am accepted in the beloved today! rather than feel the feeling of rejection!! It's people's loss, that they don't like me, having the favour of God is not popularity, to be loved, is to be agreeable all the time. therefore there is now no condemnation! If people correct me, it's because they love me, not coz they reject me! God corrects those He loves and those who loves Him! In order to bring for fruits, make decision based on what God says! not according to my thinking/emotions. The games at the camp was really enjoyable, we had to roll over muddy water and then jump around the cones inside a sack and ran to the buffet table to eat the food in it, there was a mixture of all kinds, like tomato sauce, soya sauce, bitter gout, suan mei, some wierd syrup.. etc oh manz.. haah. and then continue running to splatter some honey on my own face and then ran somemore to find the mentos sweet inside the entire tray filled with flour, we had to blow the flour in order to use my mouth to take it out from the tray, hahaha.. my entire face was filled with flour stuck on the honey etc.. haahahz...played the water bomb game too.. hahaz.. fun -filled manz.. there was the streetwear night on the last night of the camp, there was dance battle two! hahaz.. The dancing I saw was fantastic, most of the dancer were very agile. =D I can't wait for the next HM7 next year! Amen! I love nyp/rp/tp cg!!!!!!! Muacks!!

last day of sho-fi wkshop

>the sony camera!

>Me and JC
> Joe, my DNM senior

3rd day of the film making workshop. It was enjoyable, my team comprise of Joe, Gulshan, Aslina, Liana and I. at 9.30am, we worked on our storyboard and decided where to film our short film. We went to the playground where there's a block of flats opposite RP. Our short film was about 3 mins long and it was titled "Parallel". It seems like a documentary about Parallel Lines.. hahaz... lol-_- We managed to finish the entire short film and it was almost perfect.. i guess. ahahz.. The final product was great! Thanks to my team's sta dnm yr 2s are so professional sial..!love them. hee.=D I'm looking forward to yr 2! weE! Between, I saw Jc's group's short film, it was very advertisement yet comedy kind of feel to it. It was fantastic, the different techniques of filming the entire short film with background effects and actions of the lead actor was awesome! hahaz... I hope there will be more of this kind of film-making workshop not only to learn more about film-production etc, I can also bond with the seniors etc. That would be great too.

Next week, I'll be going for HM6 camp ! Praise God! It's going to be awesome manzz! HM6 Camp, Here I come!! ...

2nd day of sho-fi wkshop!

>storyboard
> seniors in action!!
>log sheet for the scenes taken!
>candid shot! liana, Jc and I!
> senior fiddling with tripod stand..
>alex concentrating on the audio... :)
> the boxers!
>candid shot!haha!!

Today was the 2nd day of the sho-fi workshop. I woke up really late and rushed to school by cab-$19.80.. it cost a bomb! haha ..IYou know what? the workshop started late as usual... haiz.. learnt about the audio and sound for films and how the various sound effects used in films that are being shot by the cameras. I thought it would be boring, as sound and audio doesn't appeal to me as much as shooting a film -camera angles etc..each group were given a short film that was muted and we had to edit it with the inputs for the sound effects etc. It was rather interesting, as I had never done it before. Actually, capturing the sound effects for the movements in the short film given was rather easy. But the hard process of it was by using film pro edit and the garage band programmes were really tough, I ought to learn it in yr2. weE! it would be fun as to figure it out by myself by fiddling with the software.. :) The product of our film with sound effects was not bad. In the first part of the film, my group managed to capture all the details for the various sound in it, whereas the back of the film, our sound effects kind of faded away and we sort of lack certain details for the sound etc.

Oh yea... hahaz during the lunch break, Jc, liana, desmond and I went to play pool at the cafe. haha. Jc and I played one game whereas the other two played at the next table. wee! I won JC le.. haha.. so glad! At first, she was leading, then I caught up with her... maybe I really had a steady pair of hands holding tightly to the cue stick hahaz... maybe I focused a lot in the game today. hahaz.. I can't wait to play pool more often.. kinda get hooked to it le.. hahaz. jianwen.. U must have been happy that I said tt.. hahaz=D got company le right.. hahaz kidding =P

Tml, will be the last day of the film-making sho-fi workshop, weeez... time flies passed so quickly! Tomorrow, my team will be going to produce a short film with the given theme-FUTURE PLAYGROUND!lol-_- I hope that my team will do well and let our imagination flow ... hahaz ( creativity plays an important role) .... Have fun everyone!

film-making wkshop

I just came back from Malacca on Sunday. It was a wonderful trip, 3 families drove all the way there. We shopped and ate many Malacca delights, like Peranakan food, chendol etc. Yummy! I love chendol!!! =D weE!

Today, I woke up at 7.05am, can you imagine? it's a holiday, and I woke up so early, hahaz.. well done, Sand. lol-_- I couldn't sleep last night, was wide awake after playing a round of scrabble with parents. haha, then was excited to go to school for the film-making workshop, met JC at 8. 30am and rushed to school. The first part of the workshop was so boring, it was the theory part of using the camera, and the camera angles and shots. The powerpint presentation was so long and draggy. Jc and I almost slept through the entire presentation... but it was interesting to learn quite a lot on the basic skills in handling camera, the angle shots etc. The first activity for the day was rather exciting, every group were given scripts and we had to act it out and play around with the camera angles for all the scenes. Firstly, our groups did storyboarding, we had to draw out everything that we wrote out in words for the scene as in terms of how we are going to shoot it. The creativity part came in, and afterwhich , we proceeded with the shooting of the entire script. We made used of all the skills that the yr 2's taught us and with the help of my other fellow members help, we managed to come out with the various camera shots for every scene. I think that we did a good job by focusing on certain objects and playing around with the different camera angles etc. We took an hour to complete the entire shooting of the script/acting. =) The 2nd activity of the day, was for us to shoot a 1 minute film on a particular emotion we want to convey to the audience for them to guess. My group did a fantastic job, by playing around with the lightings and the camera angles as to portray the emotions we want to show to the fellow students. The emotion I did was nervousness, Jc acted like a spastic child, alex acted like someone who is in a confused state of mind, Eunice acted solitude and lastly, Krishna acted the emotion-contempt.haha =D It was indeed well done. We wrapped up everything by doing a post that represent our characters and the emotion that we shot previously. The entire 5 minute film was enjoyable and hilarious, esp: Jc's spastic child like look and behavior was amazing! Alex's background of the "flashing of the on-off lightings' was well done-showing the state of confusion clearly. It was lovely working with my team-mates. Tml's there's the workshop once again! weE! glad, ecstatic about it!WhooooOOOO!!! I can't wait to produce my own short film! hahahaa =D It shall come true! Amen! :)

It's really great to know u in RP. :) After class, I met Jian Wen and we met up at Bugis, he accompanied me to buy some stationaries and ate mac, we caught up with each other as we haven't seen each other for quite long le.. lol.. after which, we walked around and did window shopping. waha.. I could feel the christmas aura at Bugis. =) We headed home as we were way too tired, actually we wanted to watch happy feet too.. hahz..I don't even know if there meeting in school tml lol. arh! anyway, I am going to sleep in tml and enjoy my well-deserved rest after 11 hectic weeks of lessons.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS PPLE!

my beloved cg

=> RP lightings @ night
Maths lesson seems to be getting tougher each week. I decided to slack today, as I was way to tired to solve the day's problem. What I did was to search the maths formula online and copy and paste it in the power point slides. Even though I did not know how to apply it to the problem, I could not care less. However, when my team was going up next to present, I panicked, wondering if my maths faci would asked me how to apply it to the problem of the day and what is the use of this equation etc. All those negative thoughts just flooded my mind, within me, I was about to explode, however, I told myself to relax and just try my very best and everything would be fine. When it was my turn to present the equation slides, I managed to explain the slides clearly and my faci did not further question me on those slides as he was able to understand it clearly. Praise God! (Afte what Kai Jin shared with us, I felt that in the day during my presentation for the slides, I should not fear of the unknown but it's the Power,Love and Sound mind that I needed and that I shouldn't see the situation as it is, instead, I should Magnify God! :)

After lesson, I met up with Derrick after his UT and had dinner together. We chatted and did our work before the other cg members came down to RP. It's going to be my first cg meeting with nyp cg cum rp friends. Kai Jin and the rest welcomed me and easily I made friends with them. They are a whole lot of fun-loving people. Praise God that I went for cg yesterday, Kai Jin shared many practical things with us and I really enjoyed it, it kind of relates to me quite a lot. The sharing was awesome. She shared about the fear of the unknown. She showed us how to overcome fear? The answer:
POWER- need to know how powerful God is! (I am a thousand bigger in the inside than on the outside!), LOVE-(knowing that God is so BIG and POWERFUL and that He loves me !) , lastly ,SOUND MIND! For you people who are afraid of the unknown, don't see the situation as it is, magnify GOD! Just remember that all things work out good for US! Make the good out of the bad things and no matter what comes my way, it's going to be good and there's a way , always trust in GOD! The peace of God is not in existence when everything is alright! The peace of God is in existence when everything goes wrong, but God is there! Amen!

Loves u guys! :)

Jesus my rest -(song)

My soul finds rest, in you my Jesus
My hiding place, amidst the storm
In pastures green, you lead me down to lie
By waters still, I shall abide

I shall not fear, in times uncertain
I shall not look, to my own strength
Into your hands, I put my hopes and plans
My trust is in, the blood of the lamb

The crown of thorns, pierce through your temple
The blood that flowed, took all my pain
What price you paid, what sacrifice you made
My life in yours, Jesus my rest
